Paloma Art in Tucson carries a changing assortment of whimsical specialty furniture, including armoires, credenzas, console tables, bookcases and curio cabinets hand crafted by local artists and by Shoestring Creations.
Shoestring Creations
hand-painted pieces come in three main design motifs. "Stripe"
is the assembly of narrow, individual wood strips, creating a stripe-like
presentation. "Hodge Podge" combines wider, fancifully-painted
boards that come together in a remarkably patterned arrangement to bring
this design its extraordinary look. "Whimsical" is the use
of artistic license with color and imagination to create an individual
look for each piece. The inside of a piece of Shoestring Creations furniture
is given the same care and attention to detail as the outside.
